Baptist Memorial Health Care

  • Baptist became the first organization in the world to receive a 10-star rating from Epic, one of the largest electronic health record providers in the nation. The distinction means that Baptist has adopted more of Epic’s nearly 700 “Gold Star items” than any other health care organization.
  • Premier Inc., a leading health care improvement company, awarded Baptist Collierville, Baptist Golden Triangle, Baptist Huntingdon, Baptist Tipton, Baptist Union City, Baptist Union County and Baptist Women’s Hospital the 2017 QUEST® award for consistently providing outstanding patient care and setting a high standard in clinical excellence.
  • Baptist Golden Triangle, Baptist North Mississippi, Baptist Union City and Baptist Union County earned four consecutive A's on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Scores survey. Founded in 2000 by large employers and other purchasers, The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization driving a movement for giant leaps forward in the quality and safety of American health care.
  • Baptist Medical Center earned Magnet™ designation from the American Nurses' Credentialing Center, an affiliate of the American Nurses Association.
  • Baptist Medical Center was recognized in 2017 by Healthgrades as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals™ for orthopedic surgery, joint replacement and prostate surgery.

NEA Baptist

  • NEA Baptist received both the Outstanding Patient Experience Award and the Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals across the country.

2016 Clinical Awards

Baptist has been recognized by numerous organizations throughout its history. Most recently, Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi and Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto received full chest pain accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, an international not-for-profit organization that focuses on transforming cardiovascular care.

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation

  • Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City earned the Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction® Centers for Maternity Care designation.
  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County earned “As” in the Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Scores survey.
  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County earned QUEST Awards for high-value health care.
  • Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City earned the Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction® Centers for Maternity Care designation.
  • The Universal Parenting Place was among four programs from across the nation named a Program of Promise through the Hospital Charitable Services Awards, a national program sponsored by Jackson Healthcare.
  • The American Heart Association recognized hospitals across the country that successfully participates in its health care quality programs. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto were recognized for their stroke care. Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle earned recognition for their heart care through the AHA’s Mission Lifeline program.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun

  • The Mississippi Rural Health Association named Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun as one of the state’s top rural hospitals.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville

  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville received the Press Ganey 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award® for outstanding scores in an outpatient services care setting.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto

  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto received the 2016 Mission: Lifeline® Receiving Center Silver Recognition Award for adhering to all STEMI Receiving Center Performance Achievement indicators at least 85 percent of the time for 12 consecutive months and complying with each performance measure at least 75 percent of the time.
  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto was named a Blue Distinction Center of Excellence for cardiac care by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle

  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle received the Mission: Lifeline® Gold Receiving Center Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the AHA for the treatment of patients who suffer STEMIs.
  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle received the East Mississippi Community College’s Workforce Services “Best Practices Award”.

NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital

  • NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital was recognized as a Blue Distinction Center (Center of Excellence) for maternity by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi

  • The ambulance service at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Silver Award for implementing quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who experience ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs).

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County

  • Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County was one of only three hospitals in the nation that received the Quest award for achieving top performance in all seven of the areas measured in Premier’s Quest collaborative, including: cost and efficiency, inpatient and outpatient evidence-based care, mortality, safety, patient experience, and appropriate hospital use.
