Extended Care & Skilled Nursing
For patients who need special care, our skilled nursing facilities offer a bridge from the hospital to recovery for those recently discharged from acute care. Sometimes after particularly difficult procedures or treatments in a hospital, patients will still need extended care to fully recover. A skilled nursing facility helps patients regain their health so they can return home and be able to self-manage throughout their recovery.
An extension of hospital services, our facilities provide long-term medical and nursing care, physical and occupational therapy and social services to patients whose medical or other conditions required 24-hour supervised care.
These facilities also provide an interdisciplinary team approach to sub-acute care for medically complex patients needing dialysis, wound care, intravenous antibiotics and rehabilitative services, among others.
Depending on the Baptist hospital in which you are staying, you may be referred to an extended care facility. To find out where these facilities are, please visit our locations.
